Forrest Hall To-night.
Mark Twain, the genial, witty and humorous Californian, will deliver a lecture at Forrest Hall this evening, for the benefit of the Ladies’ Union Benevolent Society. The subject which he has chosen is the Sandwich Islands, and, from what we know of Mark, we feel confident that he will make his mark (no pun is here intended, for he can write as well as he can talk) by the original way in which his theme will be treated. He deserves himself to be treated also to a large audience, because of his volunteering his services for this benevolent object, and we hope to see the hall crowded on the occasion of Mark Twain’s lecture.
